With less than three weeks to the Games here is Monday’s Gay Games news roundup. The games will unofficially kickoff on Friday when openly gay former NFL linebacker Esera Tuaolo and South African Olympian Leigh-Ann Nadoo will keynote Sports Equality Day, a special one-day sports conference. With the Gay Games only 3 weeks away there is so much news coming out I’m just going to do one long news recap per day instead of individual posts.
The Washington Blade is running an online article profiling DC’s gay atheletes as they prepare for the Gay Games. In fact the DC Mayor announced this past Tuesday “Team D.C. Day.” Read the article online HERE.

Heading to the host town Chicago the Windy City Media Group is profiling Ian Spencer who will be competing n mixed pairs physique. Read all about Spencer HERE The Windy City Media Group also annouced that at the Games softball has the most registrants ( 1,200 ) of all 32 sports, followed by swimming ( 1,000 ) , tennis ( 900 ) , volleyball ( 800 ) , and bowling and soccer ( 600 each ) . I’m not one to read the Wedding Annoucements of the NYTimes but today I found former and future Gay Gamer Richard Moll and his partner Wallace Pinfold have tied the knot. CBS) CHICAGO The MTV Logo Network, a one-year-old cable channel targeted to gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender viewers, will be a sponsor of the 2006 Gay Games in Chicago.
The network will provide advertising, production, and special event and Web promotions, as well as support of the games by on-air staff, Gay Games officials announced Tuesday.
